What did malt vinegar ever do to you? Malt vinegar isn't for use on all things. It would be terrible on a sundae, for example. But it's a critical part of fish and chips. I daresay that it's not really fish and chips without the malt vinegar.

This thread inspired me to go yesterday, and the one on the way to work is partnered with a KFC, so I not only got a sampler but a chicken pot pie!

I won't be eating again anywhere for 4 more days, until I burn all those calories off. :-)

I gave it another whirl the other night, returning from work. Actually headed north 13 miles to savor the fish and chicken combo basket - it wasn't anything like it was when I was smaller.
