If he keeps producing, a team out there is going to pay him more than we can afford. And Robinson would deserve it.
I wouldn't exactly be excited to see Robinson go. I just see the writing on the wall, that's all.
People are going to have to realize that Pat is going to develop MANY WRs in his 15+ years with KC. Players we really really like are going to come and go often. That's the NFL. [Reply]

If he keeps producing, we may be able to extract some serious value for him at the trade deadline. Possibly a second or third rounder. Maybe package him with a high pick to get a starting corner that can improve the defense.
I’d love Veach forever if he trades a first+Robinson for Ramsey or Howard. [Reply]

Why would anyone want to actively remove one of pat’s weapons? [Reply]

Multiple reasons:
1) we won’t have the $ to re-sign him after this year.
2) his value right now is high
3) we are trying to make a trade for an all pro CB and want to hold on to draft picks, if possible.
Look. I don’t want to see DeMarcus Robinson go, but getting Hill back and Mahomes operating on the highest level any QB in history ever has means we can trade him and not miss a beat on offense while utilizing his value to bolster the defense while keeping draft picks that can help the team in the future. What do you consider a discount for him at this point? Extrapolate his stats to reasonable numbers for this season and give a proper expectation for a WR of his age and "production" should expect on the market as a free agent WR? He's likely going to have to just be replaced in next years draft. [Reply]
