No, CK made his own bed politically with the NFL and the NFL fanbase while lining his back pocket only to go potentially come back for even more $$ and making an ass out of himself even more.
Well if Kap never learned how to be a QB, what does that say about the majority of the passers in the league today that HAVE NOT been to the SB? :-)

You're asking this question HERE?!?!?!

Chiefsplanet, where we have the best QB the league has ever seen, and we're in constant turmoil over the distinct possibility that the rest of the team keeps him from the big game?

No offense dude, but you're either trolling, or seeking to demonstrate a stunningly comprehensive lack of awareness about the world.

You mean like Cam Newton who just quit because the game is not fun anymore because now he has to become a student of the game if he wants to go back to the SB?:-)

Young talented baseball throwers on the mound(notice I use the term "thrower" instead of term "pitcher" because that is what they are at this point) often times will have immediate success in the ML because the rest of the league has not competed against this "thrower" enough times to figure him out. However, over time IF the "thrower" refuses to learn how to "pitch"(staying ahead of the hitters) then the "thrower" starts to get "lit up"(hit) more and more because the "hitter" has figured him out due to the fact the "thrower" has not evolved into a "pitcher".

This same type of occurrence happens often in the NFL with athletes who have great athletic physical skills who play the QB position. They come onto the NFL scene never to be scouted or defended at the NFL level with their unique physical athleticism initially confusing DCs. IF this great athlete with physical QB skills does not become a student of the game he will get exposed in due time by lack of good decision making in his physical play or lack thereof regardless of whether they have been to a SB or not. Cam was just fortunate enough to be that talented physically on top of having a great defense and a very easy schedule his first few years not being seen enough to carry him to a SB. It wasn't until that SB Cam got exposed BIG TIME !! Cam had never faced a defense like Wade Phillips defense and Wade knew it because he realized Cam couldn't read a defense. Cam has never been the same since that SB. Cam has been "Deer in the headlights" since that game. This is what happens when you only depend on physical talent because physical talent alone will only take you so far.

A physically talented athlete who plays the QB position is FAR different than an athlete who has evolved into an actual QB.

Its symbolic of the NFL and holding him down and his struggle to overcome the plantation owners treatment of him. Fighting to break the chains. Speaking the words of a free man.

Dude is a headcase,

It's not bizarre at all.

The guy doesn't want to play - he just wants to keep up the appearance of being black-balled.

And the reason why he's not on an NFL team is NOT his talent. Matt Moore has a job, FFS.

He's not on a team precisely because of shit like this. He flakes on this tryout (which was a largely unprecedented effort by the NFL). He shows up in a fucking Kunta Kinte shirt. He barks at scouts to "Tell your owners to stop being scared..." and immediately goes on an anti-Trump rant to the media afterwards telling them they've been persecuted for the last 3 years.

And now Eric Reid - his boy in all of this - goes out to the media after a game and throws Kyle Allen under the bus after Allen kept the Panthers season alive for most of the year. Tries to stir up a damn QB controversy in favor of Kaepernick over his own damn teammate.

Why? Because Reid's just like Kaepernick. These guys are shit teammates who don't care about football and don't care about their teammates. They care about themselves and their own spectacle. You put Kap on any team in the NFL and he makes it the daily Kap shitshow every chance he gets.

Yeah, he's talented enough to be on a roster. He's also a me-first asshole who will disrupt any team in the league. This whole debacle has only further emphasized that.

I think the guy has elite talent, but once he achieved stardom, his commitment fell off of a cliff and he became a circus act with this nonsense. Even if he shut up about the politics, is there any reason to believe he'd even try to learn the playbook?

At this point, I’d take a post-murder ray lewis wearing a kunta kinte shirt instead of a Jersey at mlb.

Lewis is a funny part of this story in his own right.

Ravens ownership is deep in discussions on signing Kaepernick - so much so that they'd actually involved Lewis in the dialogue.

And the day before he's set to fly out there, his girlfriend posts a meme comparing Ray Lewis to Stephen the house slave and the Ravens team owner to DiCaprio's slave owner character in Django Unchained.

I mean come the fuck on.

Kaepernick has been his worst enemy at virtually every stage in these proceedings. Was he kept out of the league because of his politics? Sure. It wasn't exclusively because the kneeling, though. It was the Pigs socks. And the Castro shirt (and his unbelievably ignorant and tone-deaf argument with the Miami Herald on account of it). It's the attention whoring and Kunta Kinte attire.

This guy's a radical activist first, a football player second. And if you're an NFL owner you simply do not want to deal with that shit unless this guy is going to be a slam-dunk difference maker.

Is Colin Kaepernick capable of being one of the 30 best QBs in football? Sure thing. Is the 22nd best quarterback in the sport worth the bullshit he'll bring with him? Nope.

Colin's good enough for the league. Is he also good enough for the baggage he INSISTS on bringing with him? No, no he is not. He's not a victim of circumstance; it's baggage of his own making and he simply isn't good enough to do that.
