Nobody wanting to dance on Boxberger's grave? He got DFA'd this morning.

I heard a stat this morning that this season the Royals were 0-43 when trailing in the ninth inning this season before last night. That's just crazy.

Oh, and the guy who should have been DFA'ed is Peralta. Boxberger sucks too, so maybe Peralta is next.

Matt Strahm has cooled off this year. Doesn't mean it wasn't still a stupid dumbfuck of a trade, but it takes some of the sting out, I guess?

A 4.85 ERA wouldn't be anything to sneeze at in KC's 2019 rotation, even though it's not very good

It was a last attempt to make that team work. The deal was universally well-received, even here. Had Trevor Cahill not gotten hurt and provided so little value, might have worked out more the way it was intended.

The real pain in that group is still probably going to be Esteury Ruiz. He’s a legitimate prospect and potential future 20-20 guy.

He actually was doing well until he got blasted by the Marlins in early June (a game I actually watched because it was a late Sunday afternoon and I had nothing better to do). Then he went on the DL, came off and got battered again. So maybe he's still not 100 percent. I wouldn't write him off yet.

And Duncan is right about Ruiz. He was always the gem.

They’ll move Strahm back to the pen once the rest of their pitching prospects start arriving, and he’ll be lights-out there.

But yeah, he was having a strong year until the injury. Velocity was down but his secondaries are good.

I know what his WAR is. The rest of the league doesn't value him as much as the fans do. If they do he will be gone before the trading deadline.
