I have love of tequila and would like advice. Am looking for a 100% agave resposado.

Don Julio 1942. Meant to be sipped like fine Scotch or bourbon. My favorite tequila. It is terribly expensive so I usually just order a shot in a restaurant when life has been good.

Anything by Herrudura (sp?) is also good.

Codigo Anejo is my new favorite. I didn’t like to sip tequila until I tried this one. 1492 is also very good.

Knock back a couple shots and it won’t matter what label is on the bottle.

How do you rate tequila? By the face you make after you do a shot?

Herradura is incredible. Premium but not TOO expensive. Broke out a bottle late third quarter of the Superbowl and finished it by the end of the game. (I had help) LOL

Termana is probably the best of the new celebrity tequilas.

Quoted for truth.

I had a buddy bring some back (smuggled) from Mexico. He only broke it out for special occasions. No idea what it was called but it was the best Ive ever had.

True, if you have to shoot tequila instead of sipping it like a quality bourbon then it is crap tequila.

Already been mentioned but Fortaleza is really solid. I got a bottle for my birthday last year and it really surprised me.

And then there is Don Julio 1942. I discovered this several years ago on a trip to Play del Carmen. Expensive yes, but oh so worth it. It's been a few years since I've had any, I may need to procure a bottle.
