I guess we filled up the old one... http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=280149

Welcome to 2014! Now get your ass in top physical condition!

No one else started it so here it is!

**From the 2013 Thread**

If you want to get back into lifting, or need a new lifting routine, START HERE:

http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wi...inner_Programs

If you have questions about the SS programs, look here:

http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ

Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started.

Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE:

http://madcow.hostzi.com/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm

If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point.

ran a 2:30 1/2 mile. That's a pretty great time for a junior high girl, but I'll take it at this point.

Thats plenty fast for a recreational runner. How old are you?

I'm thinking I could run a mile in about 5:30 or 5:45 right now.

Not too old (30), but carrying extra weight. That's about where my mile is as well. Trying to get down to 5 eventually, but it won't happen until I lose 15 pounds. The weight hurts me even worse on my 5k. I should be sub 20, but I'm not at the moment.

I've had two root canals. They were a breeze. So much fun I actually quit brushing my teeth for a year hoping I could have another.

Nothing more irritating than to pull the needle out too quick and watch the oil squirt back out. :-)

You won’t lose gains by missing a week or two.

I'll pump this. I've lost a little but could lose more based on bad decisions at the same time I'm still get swoll, made the most money I've ever made in my life and still get laid. Life is good at the end of the day that's all it's about right?

I used to make it in college from cattle pellets. Fina kits FTW!

Do people still do that?

How’s everyone doing on goals and what not?

I’ve kept my weight down as I was 235 back in December 2016. I’ve hovered around 173-177 since May 2017. I was 174 last Friday. I run often and enjoy it more than strength training. Although I do throw in a couple days a week of it.

I try to average 4-6 miles at least 3 days a week. Throw in b-ball one night as well. It seems I eat as much if not more than before must be due to how much more energy I burn.
