Nzoner's Game Room>***Official AAF Discussion Thread***
11Chiefs 09:40 AM 02-07-2019
The first games of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) are this weekend. I haven't followed it and at this point I'm not that interested. However, a friend called me all excited. He said CBS will be carrying all the games... that seems interesting. I seen an NFL Network logo on the AAF website... that seems interesting.

What's your take? Is your DVR set? Why should I care?

I think it could be interesting. Not only is this a minor league for the NFL but an incubator to test new rules.

Do not support the AAF! It was co-founded by the corrupt Bill Polian! Stop supporting greedy corrupt pieces of shit! Remember how this asshole had the rules changed for his own advantage.

Support the Freedom Football League instead!

Only one of the AAF or XFL will survive. My bet is the AAF for a few reasons.

It is chummy with the NFL. I could see the league acquiring it down the road as a true minor league. The XFL wants nothing to do with the NFL. They tried that before and it didn’t work

The AAF has put teams in cities that don’t have NFL teams, with the exception of Atlanta for some reason. All the xfl teams are in cities that have NFL teams, except St. Louis. That seems like a bad idea.

The AAF gets a year head start as well. One other possibility is the leagues merge at some point

It's the only reason you need.

Would be funny if San Diego games sell out.

Or at least sell more tickets than the Chargers at Stub Hub, which is completely doable.

I just don’t see how the XFL will survive. How much talent is left after NFL and now AAF? And they get he leftovers....
