Nzoner's Game Room>Tomorrow, I am probably going to have to put my dog down.
Chris Meck 08:51 PM 09-18-2019
she was my late wife's first anniversary/birthday present.

She's 15. She had a stroke Saturday morning.

She's swam in the Atlantic Ocean, the Pacific, and the Gulf of Mexico.

She made friends with a giraffe.

She probably ate at every roadside diner on every interstate in America.

She won't eat. I think she's telling me it's time.

PTSD much? I do.

****.

I'm sorry to hear that Chris. I don't have anything to add that hasn't been said already. I love my dogs, past and present, very much and strive to give them the best possible time here on earth. It sounds like your girl had a wonderful life.

That sucks... few things are worse than putting down a family pet.

Upside is - there are so many other dogs out there looking for a new home.

So sorry Chris-its really hard having to put down a best friend-may be the hardest thing I ever did when I when i had to put down my Airedale Chewbacca still brings tears when I think back back on it-stay strong.

Taking our dog on that last car ride is one of the toughest things I've done. She was 13 and winter had been very hard on her for a few years, but she had perked back up in summer time. That last summer she never came back around and could only walk a block at most. I cried like a baby. Still tear up thinking about it and it was three years ago mid August.

Sorry to hear that Chris. I have been through the same thing many times and it's never easy. Just know deep down, you are doing what's best for your dog and you gave her a life full of joy and happiness.

I'm sorry for you, Chris. It's never an easy thing to do. They are a part of our family. I call mine my fur babies. I had to put down mine just over 3 weeks ago. The really tough part for this one is that he was only 3.5 years old. Way too young. But sometimes things happen. If she's telling you it's time then you know you are doing what's best for her.

Very sorry to hear this Chris. My condolences.

I've been through it a few times over the last few years myself. Hang in there, God Bless.

Sorry man.

It's the ugly part of the unspoken agreement you make with every pet. "I will live long enough to see you die."

15 years is a great run with a dog. Glad you made such a great life for the pup. You should be proud of that.
