Sure wish we could get one more season of quantum leap to finish out the story.

It's fun watching old shows and spotting guests that were unknowns at the time. I was watching Night Court the other day and this teenage black kid was on there and holding a gun on Roz. I heard his voice and realized that it was Done Cheadle

Must See TV. It looked like it was really solid for about a fifteen year run with only a few missteps in that span

Michael Mann and he is easily my favorite film director as well including such films as...

Manhunter
Last Of The Mohicans
Heat
Thief
The Kingdom
Collateral
Public Enemies

You might enjoy this read

Mann's up there. If I had to make a list I'd put him probably right behind Fincher at two. Manhunter might be one of the best films that no one has watched

Love Mann!

Don’t forget about The Insider and Ali which we’re both very good.

He also made The Keep, which is a weird 80s relic.

I loved Moonlighting...bought the series box set the day it went on sale, and still break it out from time to time. Broke a lot of rules for TV then. The B/W Orson Wells episode was genius, but so was the remake of "Taming Of The Shrew" as a musical.

Maybe the greatest and overlooked '80's show was "Amazing Stories"...Steven Spielberg's new take on a "Twilight Zone" style show. Many welll known actors appeared and shows were directed by people such as Eastwood, Scorsese and Zameckis in addition to Spielberg.

I mentioned The Keep in the movies you haven't seen in a few decades thread.Strange eerie film but you could definitely see Mann's style early on.

EDIT...I'm such a Mann fan I even liked his big screen adaption of Miami Vice.

It's up there. Perfect way to use In-a-gadda-da-vida. Red Dragon was okay, not anywhere near as good
