Movies and TV Which Great Movie Do You Actually Hate? - Page 10

This video popped up on my YouTube feed. Seemed like a good basis for a thread.

The five films discussed in the video, panned by various Brits to the general disdain of other Brits off camera, are The Shining, Forrest Gump, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Gone With the Wind and The Blair Witch Project.

I think the first three guys are mostly nuts, wholeheartedly agree regarding GWTW, and argue that Blair Witch was never great in the first place.

So what great movie(s) do you hate? I'll chime my picks in later.

I never did find Dr. Strangelove all that great. I love dark comedy and loved cold war flicks and for whatever reason I just don't care for it at all.

Same for Fargo.

Never did like Pretty Woman.

While I didn't hate Fargo, I thought it was overrated as hell. The whole subplot about the Chinese guy who had a crush on the sheriff - seriously, what the fuck was that about? Had nothing to do with anything.

No Country For Old Men, on the other hand - I hated the fuck out of that.

There was one aspect of that movie that I just hated - Bruce Willis's stupid ass whiny annoying Tweety-Bird looking girlfriend. Jesus Christ, she was awful. He should have said to hell with the watch and the girlfriend and took off with the smoking hot taxi driver.

Whenever I watch it, that scene gets immediately fast forwarded. :-)
