Media Center>Soprano's Season 6 discussion.........
Kylo Ren 02:35 PM 02-02-2006
My wife and I are excited about the upcoming season of Sopranos. We've been waiting for about 2 years for this next season. This show is addictive.

Originally, I missed the first few episodes of season one. I've never seen them. But HBO has been showing all of the Sopranos episodes in order lately. I started watching every episode, starting with season one, episode one about a month and a half ago. It's been great. I watch it every weekday night at 7pm. I'm picking up allot of stuff that I missed the first time around. Also, seeing the entire series from the beginning, in order, episode after episode is really making things more clear. There were some things that I was foggy about. There's such a long offseason between seasons that you can forget important details sometimes. The timing will be just right. I should finish the final episode just prior to March when the new season starts. I can't wait.

Discuss.......

After reading another Soprano's thread, the topic of SPOILERS came up. So I thought there should be some RULES about spoilers for this thread.

I would say that one should read and post at your own risk. We will bump this thread to the top after each episode and have a discussion of that episode. I don't know how you can have a discussion without revealing spoilers. I don't even know why they'd be considered spoilers if the episode has already aired and most of America has seen it. So, if you want to post a "spoiler warning" in your post, that's fine. But if you don't, no one should complain. If you haven't see the current episode, you should not read this thread until you have.

With that said, if you have some inside information about an upcoming episode that would be a spoiler, you SHOULD NOT post that on this thread. I can't imagine that happening, because the Soprano's producers gaurd their secrets like Fort Knox. But, if you know something about an upcoming episode, keep it to yourself until after the episode airs. This is really common sense stuff, but I thought it should be spelled out just to keep arguments to a minimum.

Possible Vito scenerios:
1. Tony's crew will find him and whack him
2. He'll shoot himself
3. He'll cooperate with the feds
4. He'll find the Bible in the hotel room desk drawer and get "saved"

Any idea why they re-used 'The Three Bells' when Vito went to the hotel. They used it just last week when Paulie took out sanitation son's knee.

Vito, Vito, Vito........ OK. Anyone have any other observations other than Vito's fate? What about Johnny Sack's crybaby routine and how Tony's crew reacted to it? How about Tony beating that new guy in order to look tough in front of his men? Meadow looked good, but I like her with a bit more meat on her bones.

How would he KILL two guys quietly? I don't know that they were made guys, but they won't go unmissed. Vito may try to clip them, but, if he does, he's just compounding his troubles. One way or another, his ass is grass. I hope he eats himself to death. That would be cool.

There’s a couple things he could do at this point; take out the guys who saw him, come up with ONE HELL of a story why he was in there, go on the lamb or turn to the FBI or start working the NJ and NY families against one another in hopes of a family war overshadowing him being caught (metaphorically speaking) with his pants down.

The last of the options is what I see happening. The directors made it pretty obvious he’s not only related to the NY consigliore but a kind of in-between guy from a loyalty perspective.
I don't know - maybe he didn't kill himself - but that is the impression I got. I'm not one to look too deeply into things - but you get the impression from the first 5 episodes that Tony is thinking his life through - and they've laid some hints here or there that lead you to believe that it is an option that Tony goes "good". However, from the guy in episode 1 that hung himself, and Vito, if he did shoot himself, the other underlying message is that "You can't get out".

Maybe that's too simple - and like I said, I don't even waste my time trying to figure out all the foreshadowing, etc, but that's kind of where I see it, assuming Vito did kill himself. And if Vito did actually shoot himself, what the hell was the whole point of this little storyline anyways, if not to just drive home the point that there is only one way out of the mob?

They could keep the "Where's Vito" storyline going for a while. Leave it open to see if he killed himself, went to the feds, joined up with NY or FL or will he show up at Dentistry school and check out Mr. Calvin Klein-clad Finn.

Nobody knows Tony killed Cifareto. Maybe Christopher, but even he doesn't know for sure.

OK. I see your point, but I still disagree. I don't think Vito could pull it off.

I don't see Vito killing the other two as being that likely - what would be the point (to the story) of him getting nabbed in the club if he can just make it go away by killing two guys that have never featured before?

If it it was a more central character that caught him then yeah, i can see him doing the business (because it would influence the plot) but two random dudes? Nup.

agreed i think vito kills them both.. i've watched all 5 seasons and i've never seen the guys he talked to in the GAY club... but hey it could turn into, (i hope not) tony taking out vito... if vito doesn't take them out, someone has already heard about him bein there... and he's gone, hopefully i dont like that fat piece of... ok im done
