Nolan and Zack Snyder, definitely an interesting team. There are already rumors now that Zod is going to be the villain.

I have to say I'm excited that it "appears" they aren't going to go totally out of left field and do something stupid and out of character for Superman.

Sucker Punch was so disjointed that I lost interest in the first 45 minutes and I always try to give movies a chance to prove their sand.

+1, Not to mention that the "story" is incredibly sexist.

I hated Sucker Punch......but loved the eye candy. Admittedly it's a fetish fantasy flick.

It's more/less a hormonal 13 year old boy's attempt to create a feminist work.

Apparently John Q. Public also can't express an opinion without being dismissive and insulting. In no way did I want another typical superhero movie. I just wanted a good film. If you want to confuse darkness for depth, that's your business, but when you choose MoS as some sort of champion against the dumbing down of American culture, the irony is just hilarious.

Batman Begins, and especially The Dark Knight, were cinematic achievements of highest order. "People" were expecting a similar aesthetic and cinematic experience with Man Of Steel.

Some liked it, some didn't. But in terms of cinema, there's a consensus that it fell well short of any of the The Dark Knight films.

I find them highly appropriate when responding to your nonsense.

Finally got around to seeing this movie. Like alot of the comments in here, it was good but had way too many head scratching moments. It is a comic book movie, so they get some leeway on suspension of reality.

I didn't like the ending or the way the director decided to cut the movie. I thought the romance of Lois Lane could have been better and the actress was average.

It wasn't as bad as some make it out to be. You can't compare every comic book movie to the Batman trilogy. That trilogy was such a stand above the norm quality in this genre that its not fair to compare to that bar.

Ya but for me the action and my love of Superman really made it the best one yet. I was in awe of the fight scenes, jaw dropping good. I'm also a sucker for Superman/Spiderman movies. I had to drag my son out to see it and he thought it was great as well, part of the reason it took so long to go see it.

So the wife and I are starting to watch MoS on Blu-Ray. Why is there a Making of The Hobbit featurette (titled New Zealand: Home of Middle Earth) on this?

There's going to be a series crossover soon.

I watched it again for the first time since in the theater and the only things that hit me more were the beginning on Krypton and when the Tornado hits. I was more interested in the nuances of Krypton than I was in the theater, Snyder really painted a pretty nice world although short lived it might have been. The Tornado scene didn't make sense to me when I first saw the film, but after the second viewing I saw why it made sense through Clark's eyes, wanting to expose himself to save a life but through his raising always being told not to, it makes for a great conflict of interests in my mind. I enjoyed it a little more the second time around.

Love this movie! Watched it again over the weekend.

"One day, you're going to have to make a choice. You have to decide what kind of man you want to grow up to be. Whoever that man is, good character or bad, it's going to change the world"

"one day... one day you're gonna think of them as a blessing; and when that day comes, you're gonna have to make a choice... a choice of whether to stand proud in front of the human race or not."

Cue the great Zimmer score!
