I am also very frustrated with the play calling on the last 4 or 5 drives. In the past on defense the Chiefs have left the RB pick up big first downs in the passing game. In the second half we did make a correction there. Also had some pressure late, and again the adjustment we made on covering the RB out of the backfield led to the game winning int.

The 3rd and 3 to ice the game Reid called exactly what most of you dumb mother ****ers wanted him to call last week...

Also, Andy tried to shorten the game. We were down to one fucking RB...

You probably never played football, let alone understand it.
They don't have any.

Guess Andy should have had Pat Mahomes run around forever on a shitty field so an elite pass-rush could just tee off on him. Guess it makes sense so they could bitch and cry about Andy Reid when Pat ended up injured again.

Our entire team was gassed but gutted out a win, sounds like some of our scheme held on defense, our offense did enough. On to our next win. This win built character and we held a lead.

Is that the only other option. An extreme play where he runs around?

Would you have preferred they ran a deep passing play so that Joey Bosa could skull fuck a tired, rusty Eric Fisher?

^this^

We had no protection in the 4th quarter. I'm not blaming Fisher and LDT or the back up Center who aren't in game shape. If some of these idiots ever played football and had to come back from an injury, especially if it was 3+ games, you are almost back to square one before preseason. It will take a few games to get it back.

Why are my options deep passes or ones where he runs around like crazy? How come we talk about the Chiefs oline and front 7 being exhausted but we don't talk about the Chargers front 7 and oline having the same issue? Replacements on their oline too.

The issue with the play calling isn't just about one play. And the truth is it isn't about one game. If this was the only game, I'd be very willing to write it off as altitude, weird game, shit happening, whatever. But letting average teams hang around happens too much imho.

As a technical note, I think Reiter played nearly the whole game. He was only out for a few plays based on what I saw.

Don't be Stupid... Fisher and LDT haven't played in several weeks... Fisher for almost 2 months. Their conditioning is a wee bit different, especially in this altitude.

That's true, but it isn't just about 2 guys. Nor about 1 play. Or 1 game. And that's the overriding issue here for many. This isn't about nitpicking 1 play.

The running game didn't beat us.

The offense proved it could put together key drives on an off night and score TDs in the red zone, without it's best weapon.

Our achilles heel last year, getting beat via the pass when trying to protect a lead, was rendered moot, against a team that destroyed a 14-point lead at Arrowhead last season.

This team has made strides. It is ready to slay it's demons.

The gap discipline has gotten better. Clark is starting to look like Clark as he gets more healthy. Pennel, Ward, and Saunders continue to make plays.

And for as bad as the dropped pick was, Mathieu's pick changed the momentum of the game.
