This poor show. Someone should have given it mercy two years ago.

just pathetic - fast-forwarding through 90% of it - EVERYONE involved is mailing it in - everyone....just a total lack of respect for the viewers who have invested years in this.

Yeah, zombie movies/shows/series weren't really made to last more than 2 hours tops.

my disdain for the show isnt nearly as bad as some of you guys, but I will admit it's regressed.

I think they've just simply run out of unique zombie-apocalypse issues to address (probably after the prison).

And it's becoming blatantly obvious they cant afford to pay Jeffrey Dean Morgan for many episodes........so it's become a pretty gigantic missed-opportunity for the show to have a great villain (or so the comics readers tell us) have some amazing screen-time and dialogue.

But instead, he says about 8 lines, then disappears for 3 episodes.

Neagan had so much promise.....and while I might be in the minority, I enjoyed the season-ending episode with Lucille, and the season opener right thereafter, but it's been pretty tame since.

Kind of like having a stud relief pitcher, but totally misusing him.

This is why Fear the Walking Dead has become better than the original. Still keeping things fresh. They are not beholden to the comics so I think it is easier. This last season of FTWD was outstanding for the most part.

I doubt AMC, a channel that has spared no expense on shows prior, would cheap out on their flagship show. TWD has consistently had episodes without individual characters.

they absolutely cheaped out on the show. and has milked it for every penny. those episode without many characters are there to save money. they cut the budget season 2 which led to frank darabont leaving the show. its gone downhill ever since. I would have loved to see how the show would be with him still running it. unfortunately amc owns the show, unlike breaking bad and other past shows, and they can do what they want.

I agree with you. I Was still giving it a chance but this week's episode had so many laughable moments, it was like a SNL segment of the actual show.

Some things of note:

The shootout behind the cars: ten feet apart unlimited .223 rounds flying from both sides and barely any deaths, then bad editing of zombies eating faces and the saviors turning around to shoot...at where? just felt really cheap and an incident implied rather than shown, which didn't work.

The Aaron and Eric loving death scene: another bad performance and jump edit. The guy is gone and our guy is crying watching a pale figure in the distance join the soul train in the field. Didn't care. Almost felt like a setup to have him return alive in a few episodes.

Tumbling downhill zombies showing up out of nowhere (there were a few parts where the editing was so bad it just jumped to. the middle of something happening).

The savior prisoners tied up with kite string.

Morgan running after them to get within 5 feet of them and shoot one, while he has a high powered rifle with a scope.

Morgan vs. Jesus: May have been a good scene but Morgan should have come out on top. He suddenly is a doofus and Jesus is Bruce Lee?

Daryl in the hallway with rick trying to stop saviors with ARs using a pistol while he had the crossbow on his back.

I'm sure there's more. I was just rolling my eyes about every 4 minutes.

However, I do like to enter the bedroom and talk to my wife in a sexual way like king Ezekiel. "Tonight shall be an evening of masterful performance! And, while it may be brief, It shall be a glorious! Put down that remote! For nary a Will and Grace rerun shall be shown in this domicile whilst I brandish my meatweapon!"

try it.

Daryl's "you good?" moment was awesome tho.

Hasn't Jesus always been a badass hand to hand fighter? I thought that was his "thing".

Watching this show really makes me appreciate Breaking Bad because unlike this descending trash show, Breakig Bad knew when to close the show without lingering the damn thing.

The excellent writing all the way through is a huge difference too. These writers made it big and slacked off big time.
