"Thumbs down"

Over a year ago. They don't have them over in DC land.

They pretty much discredited the entire article at the end.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Gov. Mike Parson has confirmed that Missouri now has its second case of “presumptive positive” coronavirus.

Parson said the case is based in Springfield, but has not provided any more information at this time.

He, along with the Springfield mayor and the Springfield-Greene County Health Department Director Clay Goddard, will hold a news conference at 6 p.m. in Springfield to provide more details on the newest COVID-19 case.

FOX4 will stream that conference live on fox4kc.com and on the FOX4 app to bring you the latest details.

Missouri’s first coronavirus patient is based out of St. Louis County. That patient had recently returned from a trip to Italy where the virus outbreak has been widespread.

As of this Thursday, four cases have also been confirmed in Kansas, all of which are in Johnson County. The first was confirmed over the weekend — a female under 50 years old.

Three new, unrelated cases were announced on Thursday. Those three patients are all men between 35 and 65 years old. They all visited the same conference in Florida, where Kansas Health Secretary Lee Norman believes they contracted the virus.

The first diagnosed case was on 1/14:

I don't see why anyone would think that it was widespread here back in December of 2019.

There isn’t RT’s sitting on their ass at home to call in. What we decided was that the RT’s would be at every emergency location running and making changes on the ventilators. We have more nurses than RT’s.

The nurses would take care of some of the ancillary but crucial tasks that RT’s do beside run the ventilators. suctioning out the fluid out of peoples lungs. Get the bloodwork. That would free up the RT’s to run more ventilators.
What about imaging availability, blood gasses, etc?

It sure wouldn't be ideal. Granted if it gets that bad you do what you need to do.

I bet the press conference is held in or near a gymnasium.

Part of the reason, but it's a little more complicated than just that.

It seems that dry air plays a significant contribution as well.

Viral infections transfer easier in colder less humid climates. That's why its less prevalent in the summer.

portable imaging dropped off. Mini-ABG’s machines. At the time they could do PH/Co2/Hco2. Hope your sat monitor is functioning correctly. I’m sure you can get Pao2 with the current models.
