How? Raptors out played them once KD was out and he's going to be out the next 2 games. I mean GSW shot 20/42 from 3 and Toronto shot 8/32 from 3 and GSW won by only 1 due to Nurse mismanaging the last minute. I think Raptors are fine. [Reply]

Now, the series goes back to Golden State. Warriors only have to win a home game to force a Game 7.
If it goes 7, it’s a coin flip. Warriors will clearly have momentum at that point.
This series just got interesting.
How do the warriors have momentum? Because they won a game by 1? Did they have momentum after game 2?
And yeah the warriors have to win 1 to force game 7. The raptors have to win 1 to win the championship. Don't know why you didn't frame it like that. [Reply]
Toronto still has to feel good about their chances. GS got a boost from Durant and shot lights out yesterday and still almost lost. This is with the Raptors shooting abysmal from three, missing more FTs than usual, and Kawhi playing average at best outside of about five minutes in the fourth. Durant is done and Toronto should shoot better, so at this point the money should still be on the Raptors. [Reply]

You should probably read my post a little closer.
I said the Warriors will certainly have the momentum if they win Game 6.
I also said the Warriors only have to win 1 home game to force game 7. Yes, the Raptors only have to win 1 home game as well, but if it comes to that the Raptors will have blown a 3-1 lead.
I would guess that the Warriors will win Game 6 (I give them an 80% chance). Then Game 7 is 50-50.
So with that, I give the Warriors a 40% chance to win the series. 60% for the Raptors. Still looks favorable to the Raptors, but I would be uneasy if I were a fan of that team. I assumed the Raptors would (and probably should have) closed it out last night. [Reply]
Raptor fans you shouldn't be overly concerned because without KD GS just isn't the same team. They have zero scorers outside of Steph and Klay so double team both those guys as much as you can and make one of the other players who aren't good scorers shoot the ball. Your team will be fine. [Reply]

Didn’t the Warriors have those sort of odds heading into Game 4? No Durant in Game 5 and they lose. He is done for the year and GS is nowhere close to the same team without him. I think it ends in 6. They only won game 5 due to the short boost by KD and because Toronto played poorly. [Reply]

Im looking at it different. They’re the champs and part of being a champ is ability to play your best under true adversity. That true adversity for GS is now.
We saw how they played yesterday where the whole team shot the 3 what? 50% or something? Steph and Klay were unbelievable yesterday and got big baskets in critical situations to save them. That doesn’t surprise me and I think they’ll continue to do that. They’ve somewhat chipped their way out of a hole right now going from 3-1 to 3-2. I figure that one win yesterday increases the belief of the team.
Now they’re going back to GS w/ the home crowd supporting them and I expect them to be on point. They’re going to be playing at their best knowing if they lose its over. But if they win, again, the belief and confidence of the team increases.
So thats my concern. Sometimes it takes elimination games to get teams to play their best and if they win one game at a time and slowly chip their way out of that hole, momentum increases man.
Also, consider GS has been down 3-1 before and won against OKC. I know thats a different series and not the finals. So its not like they don’t know how to overcome adversity since they’ve been in similar situations before.
*I just don’t feel weve seen the best from GS right now. Thats my two cents worth. Flame away. Rip this argument apart if you like. You’re entitled to your own perspectives, opinions or views. [Reply]
