The hospitalization rate is exponentially higher than the flu. Even if we saw 20% of ppl get Covid 19 that got the flu our hospitals would still be overwhelmed.

FYI, the CDC submitted a plan advising the elderly not to fly on commercial airlines.

There are something like 30k available ICU beds in the whole country right now. And even less ventilators and the saturated oxygen that people very sick with coronavirus need.

What the CDC and WHO are not telling you is the most successful procedure being used in China right now is intravenous IV vitamin C therapy. There is also really cool stuff like hyperbaric IV ozone therapy but there is no point in having those conversations on this BB.

In an effort to further the vaccine industry there are articles on vitamin C vaccines working but they are not vaccines because there is no disease or adjuvant used.

What do you mean we lost safer vaccines?

I made a post of our emergency plans. It’s not pretty. Most emergency plans aren’t good. That’s why they are emergency plans. But, anyone who thinks our healthcare system can’t get swamped badly, your not paying attention.

It happened in China. It's happening in Italy. But can't possibly happen here because... you don't want it to?

Ick. I wonder how many of those who go thinking they caught this corona virus end up just having influenza, or a cold.

The thing not being mentioned is the health personnel getting sick themselves. You have to quarantine yourself for so long, I can see that causing issues. Look at that nursing home in Seattle.

It’s the end of the world people and we’re all gonna die. But I don’t really give a shit because I saw my Chiefs win a SB.

Anyone hear anymore about that vaccine being developed in Isreal? That sounded promising and now there's no reports on it whatsoever.

This plus the ventilator thing are the areas that seem most dire. Is it possible to mobilize volunteers to care for the sick in makeshift medical facilities? Guess if things get bad enough we'll find out.

I'm gonna guess we get all our ventilators from China and they aren't shipping us any new ones right now.

I'd be really curious to see what the survival rate is for COVID-19 patients that actually get put on a ventilator.
