Nzoner's Game Room>Veach's '21 Offseason Plan to Keep Us Thriving: Let's speculate
Dante84 10:03 AM 02-08-2021
In order to prevent us wasting precious years of Patrick Mahomes' career, Veach needs to work some magic this offseason. What's your advice for him?

No thanks. But it's nice to hear the Broncos make poor decisions based on fear of the Chiefs front office.

Think Kevin Zeitler could be a great option for some experience if his salary comes down.

Has lots of talent and experience which we will need on our line this year. Just depends on what he wants.

Also think Forrest Lamp and Nick Martin could be cheapish ways to add experience.

I realize we need a left tackle now too, but i would like to take advantage of some of these free agent guards. Anyone above average is better than what weve been trotting out the last few years.

Is it still the two day tampering window before actually contracts can be signed?

Such a strange rule to me. Why not just open the flood gates?

Because they want to sell it to fans.

Fisher was underpaid as a starting left tackle in the NFL.
I was generalizing to make a point but Schwartz only played in 6 games. Playing in 1/3 of the games doesn't equate to playing up to your contract regardless of price. Fish missed the most important game of the year no matter the reason. Veach has shown that the past is just that, the past. Schwartz's ironman streak didn't buy him an extra year of "give him a chance and see what happens" like it did sometimes in the past. Veach is showing a cold-bloodedness that the Pats used to show in their heyday when every year they cut someone that made the rest of the league go "wtf".

Yeah....but we need a center far worse than guard at this point.

Kendrick Bourne may be a good option at WR from the sound of it. 49ers used him mainly in 3rd down and red zone plays. Would be cheap and exactly what we need.
