The MRI has confirmed the #Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes suffered a dislocated kneecap, but not significant additional damage, sources tell me and @JamesPalmerTV. He’ll seek additional opinions to be sure. The plan is for him to return this season after a brief absence.
I don't see how we don't at least have 2 qb's ready to go, what does Perez mean we can roll with what we have. We going to run Wildcat if something were to happen to Moore? [Reply]

Wildcat with Tyreek, Hardman, and Shady could be legit. Get Sherman in there to throw it too [Reply]
Patrick Mahomes still needs to get a second opinion on his dislocated kneecap, but the results of the moved-up MRI have the Chiefs optimistic, a source confirms.
Chad Henne is also a few weeks away, a source added, meaning KC could roll with what they’ve got at QB for a bit.

We don't have 2 QBs ready to go, we only have one on the 53, and one on the practice squad. Shurmur could be signed off the practice squad any time, gotta cut someone to make space for him on the 53 before you can suit him for a game. [Reply]
With the MRI showing no significant ligament damage, Chiefs believe QB Patrick Mahomes could actually have a shot to play before the bye. It’ll be close.
KC’s final game before the bye, against the Chargers in LA, is a month from today.
After the bye, the earliest. I wouldn't subject him to whatever field conditions might await in Mexico. nor the additional flight/change in altitude of going there as it seems less than ideal for swelling and overall health of the knee. Even if he sits out till the Tennessee game, you don't bring him back and then bench him again for precautionary reasons.
Give him the next four games, plus the bye. [Reply]

Everyone keeps saying missing 3 weeks but he was hurt on Thursday, if recovery is 3 weeks he could only miss 2 games. :-)
Bet Mahomes has already done the math. Planning on lobbying to get back on the field earlier. You see the video of that rugby guy? He put his own kneecap back in and continued to play. I’ve waited two weeks. [Reply]
