This post could be made at any point in the last 10 years and still be accurate.

I would like to see the data set up to show actual date of death/positive test etc and see how that looks charted out.

It's going to skew low because many people aren't/weren't getting tested until being admitted to the hospital.

If you look at Sweden's actual death date data, it shows a nice epidemic curve. IIRC, same in the UK and a few other countries over there. Just interested if it's happening here as well.

It's 14,928 in NYC, with 10 under 18 dead, and another 52-62 presenting with what they are calling pediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome, that doesn't appear to present for a month to six weeks after initial infection.

You're also ignoring the possibility of asymptomatic cases starting other clusters of COVID.

Yes, seeing the date was from April 14th on the Worldometer site: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/coronavirus-age-sex-demographics/

Also glad to know that the overall ratio has gone way down from even that. And no, I'm not ignoring the possibility that a virus might still spread. I think people who are either in high risk categories, or who come into contact with others in high risk categories, should take appropriate measures to protect themselves and their loved ones. Those not meeting that criteria should live their lives.

I guess math isn't a strong suit.

The pediatric syndrome is a weird one. It’s not really happening anywhere else from what I have read

I think these issues with kids might not be related to COVID as much as they are related to the sheer number of cases we have.

Because no where else in the world have I seen them reporting this

No it's not. Decimal point fail. Correction is that under 18 deaths in NYC account for 0.067% of the overall total.

Just because it doesn’t kill them doesn’t mean it is not causing any harm.

We can speculate all day about possible effects of a million variables that may or may not be real.

If we're gonna get to the point of shielding everyone from potential harm, I'm guessing that's a game we'll lose.
