Brandon Carlisle, drummer for Wyoming's Teenage Bottlerocket, was found unconscious by his roommate earlier this week, he was rushed to the hospital requiring resuscitation multiple times, went into a coma and was ultimately removed from life support.
Leftover Crack's new album is pretty dope. Wasn't expecting it to be any good--all "reunite one last time" albums are usually always completely shitty where the band tries to recreate or retread the same stuff that put them on the map but I was pleasantly surprised that they showed they still had more to offer. Lot of cool collaborations with people like Jesse Michaels (Operation Ivy), Blackbird Raum, Days N Daze and others. Songs are as varied as the guest artists too, post-hardcore, pop-punk, ska, even a synth-heavy song.
This is my favorite song on it (warning: it's the most ska song on the album and a not really like anything else on the album)

I just saw them for the first time at the Dallas tattoo and music festival a couple of weeks ago. They were amazing. I was stoked that they played some Choking Victim songs as well. [Reply]

hell yeah, the Leftover Crack and other Stza-related bands like Star ****ing Hipsters are pretty good but Choking Victim was sublime. I might go see them in March but I kind of don't like going to these huge shows where there's a shit ton of people due to big name bands playing, it kinda sucks [Reply]
