Fair 'nuff. No sound on so I hadn't heard that. Makes more sense. [Reply]

How long into the season do you think Salvy can keep this up? As the heat comes and he gets beat down surely his production will suffer. [Reply]

Springer/Vlad Jr and Bichette combined probably have an OPS just barely north of .600. And if you take away the 5 day stretch from Vlad where he had 2 homers and 5 hits, they wouldn't even be scratching .600.
What the hell happened to those guys?
Vlad, that's as strike as strike gets, buddy.
Stop bitching because you're shitty right now. Maybe get fat again? Or skinny again? Or whatever the fuck it was you did for that season when you actually lived up to the hype.
Y'know, that ONE season. In your 6 years in the league.
Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Vlad Jr. is fat Casey Kotchman. [Reply]

Won't be much longer. He's had similar streaks like this before but he'll always tail off in the end. Still could have a great season though (and is a HOFer imo). [Reply]

Vlad would be lucky if he had a Mike Sweeney-like career at this point btw. He's been one of the worst starting players in baseball for almost two calendar years now. He won't make anything as a FA in 2 years.
Bichette is as streaky as it gets (and appears to be going through one of the worst cold streaks of his career) while Springer is just old at this point and is effectively turning into late career Joe Carter/Vernon Wells for the Jays.
And the reason Vlad was good in his one year was because he hit the ball in the air that year. He's never figured out how to do that in any season before or since then. Grounders upon grounders upon grounders [Reply]
