Excuses can be made -- have been and will continue to be -- but these numbers are tough to dismiss.

I mean, you're bound to be right eventually if you just make this thread at the beginning of EVERY October.

I'd think by now you'd know not to judge the Patriots based on their September performance.

That being said, the Chiefs Defense will need to game plan to take away the middle of the field stuff, because that's where Brady and Gronk will be hurting us, considering our poor ILB and S play (except for Watts/Lucas).

Drop OLB’s to take away crossing routes. It worked beautifully last time.

Giessle will be on the field begging for mercy on Tommy Boy. Then we will water tight her all up like we will be doing to Tom boy.

I would pay good money to see Breeland Speaks, Allen Bailey, Justin Houston and Derrick Nnadi engage in a foursome with Mrs. Brady.

Isn’t Tom significantly worse without Edelman?

More than likely.

Was fine last year. Edelman missed the whole year.

I think Edelman is way, way overrated. Good football player, but he's no Steve Largent.

He's also 32 and coming off an ACL

You know who I think of when I think of Edelman?

Brandon Stokley

Smallish, quick white guy without top end speed who had some nice years because of an elite QB but wasn't much without him.

Edelman is Stokely in the inflated stats passing era.

More concerned about Gronk.

Hell yeah it would.

Growth hormone repairs the body.

He was probably on it the last few years and dropped it this year. Same with Manning in 15.
