Poop First look at Will Smith as Genie

I simply cannot wait for this movie to come out. Hopefully it bombs at the box office and it:

A) Forces Disney to reconsider re-making their entire fucking catalogue.
B) Forces Will Smith to take a multi-year vacation from making movies and seriously re-evaluating what bullshit film projects he signs on to.

This looks like shit. But that would be expected if I actually knew about this movie or cared. Side note, for some reason my youtube feed REALLY wants me to watch Will Smith bungie jump out of a helicopter. For like a month straight this motherfucker has constantly been showing up in my feed and the only reason I can think of that makes sense is he paid a lot of money to show up in everyone's feed. I'm like, did he die doing it? Cause I'd watch that!

I disagree. Lion king looks sensational. Jungle book was outstanding.

This one I just don't get. The genie literally makes or breaks the movie. I would've gone with Jim Carrey. Bill Murray would have been hilarious in a totally different way. This is just going to be uncomfortably bad.

I haven't seen much on The Lion King, but I didn't like Jungle Book at all. But the animated Jungle Book admittedly wasn't one of my favorites. Beauty and the Beast with Emma Watson was astoundingly bad too. My nieces watched it 8 times when they were over here lol.

I haven't seen the Lion King either. Just the previews. But from what I've seen most of the reboots so far have been really respectful to the original. It's definitely to each their own but at the very least, casting has been superb.

We'll see.. I like Guy Ritchie's old stuff. But this seems like a slip-up. If the Lion King casted anyone other than James Earl Jones, I'd be thinking the same thing. The genie feels like a casting choice you can't afford to screw up.
