By too clean I mean Frank is free and clear, Micro is back with is family for Thanksgiving dinner, it just felt tonally off to me. I wanted something a little more introspective and even ominous. Again, I mention The Wire, in which season finales almost never ended well for the good guys, yet always tied the season up in a nice bow. That's I think what I wanted. Not Frank Castle and Micro and Dinah all taking a victory lap...

I will admit that when one character seemed to become a right wing stereotype I was pissed. Then they came in with the same stereotype for the opposite side. It wasn't about pushing a message but pointing out the bad on both.

I just got through ep 5. This shit is fucking HEAVY.
You almost have to be in a mood to watch it.
It doesn’t pull many punches in the development of the story.

When he and Karen were by the bridge and they had the exchange of why they all had to die was first fucking class. And I haven’t been a Deborah Ann Woll fan at all. But that was fucking great.
Same with Micros family at the dinner table. Jesus. That hit hard.
Production and execution of this thing is remarkable. There isn’t a single point in which I’m taken out of it. Initially the Homeland people did but they’re on point. Shot is fucking good. [Reply]
It's a really well done show. My biggest challenge with it though (besides all the grunting) is The Punisher's resemblance to our goofy local sports guy on WGN morning news, Pat Tomasulo. He's the anti-Punisher. They recently did a feature on him overcoming his childhood fears by going back to Disney and riding on the ride he pooped his pants on as a kid. It put a dent in my enjoyability of the show.
