:-)

Also interesting is JE Dunn and the Dunn family in the ownership group. The area near their HQ in the East Village has been suggested as a potential downtown ballpark site.

Revival of downtown stadium talk might bring Saul Good back to this site

I'm sure that is going to return, lots of people still want it.

Pretty good ownership group there. Curious as to the structure of it to see what the objectives and priorities are, but names alone is promising

Some interesting moves coming down the pipe the last few days...

Mike Moustakas to the Reds 4 years 16 per.
Royals agree to a 1 year deal with Mike Montgomery.
Padres trade Luis Urias and Eric Lauer to Milwaukee for Zach Davis and Trent Grisham
Padres also acquired Jurickson Profar from the As
Padres signed Drew Pomeranz for 4 for 34.

I wonder if Moore will be holding a Bible study with Matheny at a local church next week while the other GMs are wheeling and dealing.

I doubt the Royals will be doing jack shit honestly...

The Padres are making moves for 2 reasons, 1 they have so many prospects they can't keep all of them because there is no space. Moving Urias and replacing him with Profar is simple...Profar came through the Rangers organization when Preller was there as an assistant but mainly it's because they are just wanting a decent productive bat there until CJ Abrams is ready. Also if the Padres don't show massive improvement this year Preller is toast, they basically either need to make the playoffs are barely miss and show massive improvement or some other GM is going to reap the rewards of that system.

The Brewers had him there a lot of last year.

He was... passable. Basically what we wish Soler could be in RF.

For now. At 31 and limited athletically I don't think he'll be viable at 2nd for much longer.

A lot of commenters pointed out that the Brewers were strategic with how they used the shift and were able to roll with Moose much better at that position than they would have been had they used a conventional defense all year.

4/$65 for Moose? Good for him. I always thought he got kinda screwed when no one signed him.
