Argentina is a mess, my family cant get back from their vacation from here (so they could get the J&J vaccine that they cant get back home). They are only allowing 600 citizens / residents per day... (no foreigners) due to delta. They put in restrictions over the weekend and canceled government authorized flights.

What a joke.

I mean, they're not going to be able to keep it out forever. Unless they manage to vaccine their entire population (not gonna happen)

The delta variant is probably already there anyway.

Uh, no. Almost 15% of new cases are fully vaccinated.

I'm not doubting that's what he said, but I think he must have been mistaken.

The hospital I work at has had 53 employees test positive that have all had both of the Pfizer vaccinations, they have been very mild cases, from what the Director said in our monthly meeting.

Fair enough. Sounds like the vaccine is doing its job.

With the amount of people vaccinated, there will be cases in that cohort. Stats 101.

The Delta variant has been discovered in 80 countries so far and is known to spread more rapidly than other strains of COVID-19. It is currently the variant that is causing most new infections in the UK and represents about 20% of new infections in the US, The Associated Press reports. It is not yet clear if Delta makes people sicker or is deadlier, according to medical experts and doctors. Based on initial studies, it is believed COVID-19 vaccinations are effective against the Delta variant.

Looks like cases are coming down in Israel without deaths or hospitalizations moving

So that’s good. Vaccines holding strong
