I think the loss of Thornhill is a loss of a potential game-changing play by an extremely physically talented player.
However I don't think the loss of him decreases the chance for acceptable safety play. We can still win without him, I just don't think we can win because of him if that makes sense. [Reply]
You knew it. We could see on TV when he was being looked at by the trainers that the knee was moving around that was very unnatural. Like it had broken loose. [Reply]

That's really not true, for a high caliber athlete with top doctors he will probably be cleared to play in 4-6 months. However it will take closer to 12-18 for him to be 100% comfortable on the knee. [Reply]

Adrian Peterson came back the quickest at 9 months. That time frame is reiterated in the following links when it comes to recovery time for an ACL in the NFL post surgery. It could take him longer like many other players as well.
Thornhill will be a great addition right around the time the Chiefs head to the playoffs to defend their Super Bowl title. It will be a great story. [Reply]
