And strike years are an obvious exception. It's tough to argue about fans rooting for a jersey when this is a fan-base that sat through one of the darkest 3 decades that any franchise has seen.

I can't speak for other royals fans but I always enjoyed seeing other players. We sucked those years, and mat suck this year..... but guys like Trout, Lindor, and basically everyone on Houston will always be fun to go out and see. I wouldn't have gone tho to see scabs.
