I've never been. I'm sure the OG is closing soon. Should I go?

Just to say you've done it, absolutely. It's a piece of KC history.

Great pork, I like their brisket, too.

It's worth trying their burnt ends.

We went to the original location during lunch hour one time and ordered burnt ends (it was crazy busy). I don't know if they ran out and had to rush an order to keep up with the demand of the lunch rush, but they were like chewing shoe leather. You had to take a big gulp of your drink to help swallow them. I'd like to go again sometime to see if they can redeem themselves.

This.

Bryant's is my favorite BBQ place but for some reason the Legend's location was terrible.

one owner died other will be selling if grand daughter doesn't have his nuts in a vise.

I buy Original AB sauce at Rural King but recently it's been missing.

Beef sandwich, fries and a red cream soda. Every time.

Since this thread started, I have been craving it... but need to work up to a cheat day. Damn artery issues.

When I lived in KC 25 years ago, AB was definitely a favorite. If the quality really has dropped off, I'd be pretty sad about that. Was always a great place for beef sandwiches, burnt ends, ribs, etc.

Went to the original location last summer on my first trip back home in 15 years.
It was great, if its fallen off that's a shame.

Their original/sweet and spicy sauce is incredible. Ive tried to get it in the UK for the last 5 years to no avail.

Q39 and Jack Stack were better, but that sauce...

Never been, despite living in KC for four years. Prefer Rosedale.

Best sauce in KC in my opinion is what McGonigal's puts on everything:
