At some point when you grow up, you stop getting toys as Christmas gifts. I remember the sudden realization one year when I was probably 14 or so that there were no toys after I'd opened my gifts. It was all other stuff. Even at that young age, it made me a bit melancholy that my youth was lost, and it was gone forever.
But on the positive side, I got a really cool LED wristwatch. It looked pretty much exactly like this, and when you pressed the button some great red LED numbers showed up to give you the time. I really liked that watch.
