My mom who has daily poor health had drainage and a cough but is back to normal after a week now. 3 shots for her

Well, we finally got stung by it.

We went to Disney World with my wife’s family and must have picked it up on the plane/at the airport, traveling out on Thursday.

My wife and I started feeling some symptoms (achy, hot/cold flashes) on Tuesday of our trip (2 weeks ago) but initially chalked it up to sunburns we’d picked up the day before. We traveled that day, unfortunately.

My mother- and father-in-law both started feeling symptoms on Thursday after our return. My kids have skated through with no positive tests (we started masking around them once we got home Tuesday, took tests and saw + results. We were pretty regimented about hand washing and distance, too. My sister-in-law and one of her kids tested on Saturday. Brother-in-law and the other 2 kids continue to test negative.

Viruses. They’re weird.

Everyone here with exception of kids is vaccinated and boosted. Symptoms were pretty mild - really just kind of a head cold for us. No chest congestion, thankfully.

Anyway. That was fun.

3 year old is back to near 100%, wife is up and down with low grade fever, dry cough and congestion. I've been around them both in close contact since Friday morning with no mask or distancing and am yet to test positive. I've had some minor aches and scratchy throat, which is exactly the symptoms I had when I got my booster late last year, but negative on 3 at home tests. No idea.

I'm currently watching this now.

Watch the first 10 minutes or so. Interesting stuff. Paul Offit is the man.

The numbers at the hospital I work at are going up and up and up. We had NO cases for a month. We are now over 40. It has been almost doubling every day for the last 2 weeks. My Plant Operations department has half of the staff out with Covid.

Exact experience I had. I had body aches and headache but no upper respiratory symptoms. Wife and son both positive on 3 different tests, I never tested positive. Guessing the vax was doing it’s job because my body aches felt identical to what I experienced when I got my booster.

My dad has it after a Branson trip on July 3rd. He also had it earlier this year.

A nurse friend in Texas said the entire ward she works has tested positive and none came in for COVID related issues.

Heh, I wonder if I had it unknowingly. For about two weeks I had terrible backaches and neckaches (as I normally get with a fever or flu). I was also abnormally tired that whole time. I had pretty bad abdominal bloating and that finally moved on down, turned into diarrhea for 2 days, and now I'm all better. I just felt like general crap, but I had no indicator that it was a virus or anything.

That's what you get for testing yourself

At my work you pretty much have to test if you have a close contact…
