Nzoner's Game Room>****Official 2019 Missouri Tigers Football Thread****
'Hamas' Jenkins 06:48 AM 08-31-2019
The 2019 season brings uncertainty, as the protracted appeal over a ridiculous "scandal" with a single actor still has not been resolved. On the field, Mizzou faces what appears to be a much easier schedule than in years' past. The early season is loaded with home games before a protracted road stretch from mid-October through November.

Schedule:

Spoiler!

Recruiting:

Spoiler!

Hamas' Crystal ball sees a lot of variance. I could see this team winning as few as 7 and as many as 10 games. Georgia is the only certain loss. Florida is likely still overrated by name, but time will tell.

Official prediction: 9-3. Recruiting prediction: slightly disappointing

Eli Drinkwitz has reached an agreement to be the next @MizzouFootball head coach, sources tell ESPN. Drinkwitz led Appalachian State to the Sun Belt Conference championship this year in his only season in Boone.

The ol drinker wouldn’t have been my first choice, but he’s certainly better than a lot of the other garbage coaches they were considering.

No it's not. I think it's okay to ask for someone a little more proven.

But oh well it's done and whatever. Meh.

This is....fine.

I'm not elated or furious. It's defensible with a lot of upside.

There is definite risk here, but there is also upside. It's infinitely better than some triple option cocksucker or a 50+ year old guy who is clearly the worst of A-State's last five coaches.

Agreed.

But I'm not gonna act like this is amazing just because his other options were so incredibly shitty.

I think it's getting harder to pull away some lower tier guys with all the money flowing around, but there's no excuse for how bad the search went.

Hand Sterk his pink slip the moment Drinkwitz is under contract.

One of Mizzou QB Connor Bazelak’s college visits was to NC State. The coordinator/QB coach at the time: Eli Drinkwitz

Be interesting who he hires for the staff. He had a veteran staff at App State. Which shows maturity for a young coach IMO.

For starters, I'm not sure what to think about Malzahn's system anymore and tbh this is borderline the same song and dance dumb ass hogs fans did over Chad Morris two years ago.

I'm not saying he's a lock to flop like I felt with Barry, but man this is a real boom or bust move. I hope it works out and I'm here in a year or two saying I don't know shit.

He was a guy that some of us at UCF would have been all over if Huep had been hired away to Florida State.
