Deadspin called it sketchy too.

Glad to see some media coverage on this... You'd expect them to just ignore it.

Reid said he’s planning to call the league office

It was a complete fuck job. Not surprised it happened against us.

My favorite is how it always comes back to "losers blame refs"

Could it have been any more obvious?

The same deal happened last year with the phantom calls that let Pittsburgh back in the game, and the same thing happened in the Rams game.

There is simply too much money at stake to leave everything up to chance.

How many people would have tuned out if the Chiefs went up big on Houston? How many more would’ve tuned out last year if we went up 28-0 on Pittsburgh?

I don’t necessarily believe that the league predetermines the winner of games. But they absolutely do their best to keep the big games close.

Great.

They'll be like, "yep, we screwed up. Sorry 'bout it."

One of the comments on PFT was something along the lines of "The Chiefs don't have every call go their way for once and they're crying about it". Jesus some fans are out of touch. Like the Chiefs have a long history of getting all the calls lmao

Probably written by a Pats fan.

That wouldn't surprise me and it would make it all the more absurd. I've been watching the Chiefs for 30 years and they've gotten the bad end of the screw job 95% of the time.

It's pretty obvious what happened. One ref correctly called holding. Then somehow they decided it happened when the ball was in the air, so it must be DPI. But then the league correctly pointed out you can't have DPI on a player who isn't the target. So they picked it up. Once they switched from holding to DPI - they couldn't back up and make the right call.

Exactly this. They botched it and it was a 14 point swing essentially. And something like this happens in nearly every game which renders the results pretty fucking meaningless. When there's that much fuckery going on, the final score doesn't mean dick.
