Freaking loved it. Plan on seeing it again sometime next week so I can pick up things I missed. Its nearly 3 hours long but it didn't feel like it at all. I thought it was perfectly paced.

Loved it. Our tickets got screwed up so I saw it on a normal screen. Want to go back to see it in IMAX

The wife barely remembered the original so we watched it after we got home.

It really is amazing how well it's held up.

It's really sad that there hasn't been more interest in this movie.

I guess there weren't enough 'sploshuns and flying robots. :-)

The nationwide “Indian Summer” hit the box office and TV ratings pretty hard

Yet everybody gobbles up whatever overblown labyrinthine crap Nolan churns out like the theater is passing out free money.

Anybody else prefer the workprint version of the original? I've always though that the unicorn dream ruined the other cuts.

It's not mainstream sci-fi and never has been. The original flopped in 82. Personally, it took me several years before I liked it. I hated it as a kid.

I think WB gambled it was a more popular property than it actually is.

Not judging it's quality, just it's popularity amongst the masses.

Nolan certainly has a fan base (I’m a fan, BTW).

But the studio knew that this film wouldn’t survive the summer releases, so they released it in October, knowing that it wouldn’t be a box office hit but a possible awards contenders, which would push DVD, On Demand and streaming sales.

It's certainly the best movie I've seen this year. Oh well.

I can’t wait to see it but unfortunately, it’ll be a screener or streaming

Another problem is most of the 20-somethings have probably never heard of the original. 35 years is a long time to wait for a sequel.

You really should try to see it on the big screen. It's worth it.

I saw the movie and loved it. I hope the low numbers does not scare away a Dune movie because it will have a similar target audience.

Dune needs to be an HBO miniseries. Too much material for a single movie.

They really should let me approve the script, too, because if anybody fucks it up again I'm going on a homicidal rampage. :-)
