Apparently not. Fox is in talks with Chris Carter to bring it back, including having David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprise Scully and Mulder. Nothing creative yet, just seeing how schedules line up, but still...
Also having (unrelated of course) talks about bringing back Prison Break and running a Kiefer-free version of 24 (not sure how that would work; he was that snow). [Reply]

Right up as far as my favorite episode in the entire run...still gives me chills when I watch it.
Loving the new season so far...hopefully if the ratings keep up, we'll get another season. [Reply]

I wish there were at least 12 episodes this season instead of 6.
Is this a test run to see if it still garners enough interest or is this just a 6 and done? I've been under the impression we get 6 and they are completely done. [Reply]

Look! Mulder doesn't know how to use this fangle new phone camera thingy; tee hee!
Look! It's Murray from Flight of the Conchords as a monster! S'funny!
After the dumb scene 'chasing' the monster around a truck stop, I told my wife I'll do the dishes; I'm done with this stupid shit.
There were some swings and misses for sure but I liked it, especially once the actual concept of the episode became clear. I do think David and Gillian are trying a hair too hard in their banter but that's understandable.
Anyone see the tribute to Kim Manners on the gravestone? [Reply]

I don't have any "inside" information regarding the future of the X-Files but I've read that Duchovny said he'd be down for 6 episodes per year, but not a full 24 episode season.
The interview occurred somewhere around the time his his 60's show about Manson aired ("Aquarius"), which to me was unwatchable, but was renewed for a second season.
I'd like to see 12 episodes, maybe six in the Fall and Six in the Winter, but I'm sure that everything hinges on Duchovny. [Reply]
Dragged a bit at times, but it felt truest to classic x-files so far. Can't wait until we get back to the arc and see where we actually are going, after the theme of Mulder questioning and then rediscovering his want to believe.
Love that this show is back, even if it's just for a half dozen. [Reply]
