I’d love Cosmi at 31, but I feel like someone reaches for him earlier. By one metric (RAS I think?), he has the second best measurables for an OT since like the 80’s. I think someone drools over the potential and takes him in the teens or early twenties. [Reply]
I can’t see Brown and Johnson available when the Chiefs pick in your round slots. The Blythe signing might allow the Chiefs to find IOL later in the draft. I like McGrone and there is great value with Taylor and Ogundeji. I think they could contribute early. I think corner and Edge get addressed a bit earlier than this draft, but these players are generally good “Chiefs” fits.

As we tend to do on this forum, we hyperfocus on one or two positions based on the largest area of need for the Chiefs, and we tend to overrate everybody at the top end.
It's one thing if a team falls in love with Cosmi and believes that he's the 3rd or so best OT in the draft and worth their selection, but I have a hard time believing that all these guys are going to be gone before the Chiefs pick. It's like we're assuming everybody else's needs are our needs or something.
I'm predicting that Cosmi or one of the other "acceptable" OTs with a 1st round grade will still be available when we pick, or at least within a reasonable trade up range where we wouldn't have to pay out the ass. [Reply]
