(Thinking we've abused the Civil War thread enough...)

Were there actually any people left on Titan? Or is he just doing this for other worlds that will have the same problem?

Titan went extinct because of over population.

I'd also like to add that his logic is flawed, true, but he's also insane and quite evil. Yes, he may have started off with good intentions (he didn't) but he's clearly as well meaning as Hitler just wanting to save Germany.

Perhaps there's a chance that at one time there were good intentions but that was a long time ago...

My wife and I just finished a full rewatch of the entire MCU series of movies (no TV) in about a month. We're headed out tomorrow night for a rewatch of Infinity War to cap it off.

It's pretty crazy the random stuff you catch when you watch them all closely together, though I don't know that I'll watch 19 movies in a month again any time soon.

If that included the first two Thors you need free tix or popcorn after that

l never heard of anyone binge watching a movie series that big. Salu.

Out of curiosity, what was your and or Mrs. Daface’s favorite movie?

It sounds like a lot, but it's pretty common for people to watch a couple of hours of TV each night. We just replaced that with movies for a while.

It's hard to top Guardians 1. Honorable mentions to Infinity War, Ragnarok, and Black Panther.

I did the same with my girlfriend who had never seen any of the MCU before the Black Pink Panther came out. It really isn't as brutal as many people would think. Took about a month for us to watch them all, only did one per day.

I thought there were 18 MCU movies?

You can count them in the other thread. :-)

What were a few things you caught that you didn't the first view?

I don't know that it's anything mind blowing, but it's just easier to track things from film to film more easily. Examples:

Like I said, just lots of little stuff like that.

  • Just in general, keeping track of the infinity stones. Before, I had to go back and look up where each one was, where this time I was able to pretty easily keep track of them.
  • All of the various iterations of the Iron Man suit throughout the films.
  • More appreciation for the back-and-forth relationship of Thor and Loki.
  • Noticing all of the little ways they've tied the various films together.
    • Spider Man shows up in Civil War, then in Homecoming you see Parker's home video of his experience being "called up."
    • Watching T'Challa's dad dying at the UN, then watching the results of that in Black Panther.
    • Similarly, seeing Klaw show up in Civil War first and then noticing he has no arm in Black Panther.
    • Seeing the Hulk fly off into the sunset in Civil War, then see his ship appear in Ragnarok with the video of Black Widow as he flew away.

Like I said, just lots of little stuff like that.
Yeah, I think it's one of the more underrated parts of the MCU and something that DC continually fucks up on, but they subtly tie everything together.

Like, shit you know is coming, but then happens and it just makes you smile and go "motherfuckers did it again".

I’m guessing that Adam Warlock is a big part of the next installment post Infinity War as they teased us after GOTG2. They might just reach well beyond Earth at this point, keep the Gurdians and expand. Would love it if they keep Thor and use him in the next installment.

He’s really gained a ton of popularity.

Yeah, my hope is that they'll see that Taika Waititi's interpretation is MUCH more interesting than those of the guys before and allow him to keep exploring the character more. Time will tell.
