This might be Pitt trying to not give the movie away but try to answer a reporters question
Spoilers for movie
Spoiler!
This movie is really about his relationship with his Father and how he is basically going down the same path his father did. There are many parallels that are shown throughout the movie as far as him not having a family and losing his wife/girlfriend, Putting the job before everything else, killing everyone on the ship. Once he meets his father he sees where he is going and how it affected his dad and sees that he didn't need to go to space to find the life he wanted, it was back home staring him in the face.
So that might explain the "Toxic Masculinity" that Pitt said concerning the main character. [Reply]

Maybe think like an adult and be open minded. Toxic masculinity exists and this film greatly touches on something that shouldn't have been an issue [Reply]
Movie could have been really cool - instead they just made it slow and depressing. And they didn't talk about technology or science. It was just kind of, there. [Reply]

I feel like Tommy Lee Jones would have for right in.
One of my all-time favorites. Good ol' Norm MacDonald as the gameshow host.
You used to be able to find it online but it's been scrubbed. NBC man....
