I'm convinced that episode was a major contributing factor to Sean Brock getting sober.

I'm not sure I ever watched Anthony - but I just watched that Waffle House clip - I can see the attraction - I'm sure he was very interesting.

If you like Anthony, but want a less emotional, more comfortable and friendly, format. I recommend 'Somebody Feed Phil.''

Phil Rosenthal is the creator/head writer of 'Everybody Loves Raymond' and just about the most friendly person on earth at the moment. The other day it hit me, he's the closest thing we have to an Adult Living Mister Rogers at the moment.

And the cinematographer for the show is absolutely top notch. In an already flooded field, he makes food preparation and consumption a near art form.

In honor of Bourdain's favorite guilty pleasure, I had dinner at Popeye's tonight.

Actually, tonight I had the Cajun rice, with a healthy drizzle of Louisiana hot sauce.

I really like their mashed potatoes, beans & rice and Cajun rice equally. I tend to rotate sides with each visit.

With this heat, and now the rain, you hit right on that 'sweet' spot that is most irritating.

Got me thinking about Popeyes enough that I'm getting cravings, but not so much that I'll get up and do anything about it.

:-) :-)

Guess I'll go to bed with funky Southern Fried dreams.
