McKay is a funny guy, but I wonder how many will realize that the 'based on a true story' is tongue in cheek.
Movie should be interesting for the performances, the narrative should prove more instructive into McKay's fevered imagination than the reality of the Bush Admin.

Bale has to be the most dedicated actor not named Daniel Day Lewis . JFC he could have just worn a fat suit but no , he literally gained a shit ton of weight for this role . Gotta tip my cap to him . Yes. PBS interviewed him and used it for a series of Frontline episodes from about 2006-08. He nailed everything about him, right down to the hand movements. This is about as long form as Cheney gets, and the cadence and gesticulations are right on:

Brolin tried Bush with mixed results, and Rockwell looks to be just as good but not exactly killing it either... you're right, Bush is a tough one to pin down
