In Round Two, I'll put the nominees up in random clumps of five, and you'll pick the TWO musical acts that you would most like, or least hate, to see on the world's biggest stage as the Chiefs face some NFC team next year.
The rules are more or less non-existent. Lobby for anyone you like, post videos for us, and make any arguments against totally insipid groups and rappers. Convince us one way or the other. [Reply]
1. Billy Joel. It's a pretty good crowd for a Super Bowl, and the commissioner gives me a smile. For he knows that it's me they've bought tickets to see and forget about the draft for a while.
2. Toby Keith. I don't think he got my vote in Round 1, but I think he's the second-best option in this heat.
Non-winners.
3. Imagine Dragons. I can nap to their music. It's fine.
4. Lynyrd Skynyrd. I can't vote for zombie bands that are just shells of the real thing with one original member.
5. Insane Clown Posse. I'd never listened to them and for some reason I thought their songs would be better. [Reply]
I've been to an Imagine Dragons concert and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. The energy was amazing and drums and bass combined with the light show were outstanding. They get one of my votes.
The other is Toby Keith...because I like country music and Merica! [Reply]
1.) Billy Joel- I was raised listening to his Koeliept (sp) live album. Love it.
2.) Skynard
3.) ICP- I love some of their goofy songs... “What is a Juggalo” is my fave. It’d be interesting to see the Juggalos in attendance...that’s a weird subculture.
4.) Imagine Dragons- They are ok.
5.) Toby Keith- I liked his 90’s stuff. Like that song that goes, “that’s my house, that’s my car, that’s my dog in my backyard.” Saw him in concert as a 13 year old in ‘96 at Ft. Madison rodeo. [Reply]
