Jeremiah Trotter played a total of seven seasons for Andy Reid in three different stints with the Eagles. And he thinks he lost a lot of games because Reid got out-coached.

“If it came down to both teams were even, talent-wise,*I think the opponent’s team would win if it came down to coaching,” Trotter said on 97.5 The Fanatic, via Philly.com. “Andy Reid got out-coached in a lot of games, man, a lot of big games,” Trotter continued. “Time outs, running the football, you know.”

Trotter said Reid’s offensive style made things different for the defense and the late defensive coordinator Jim Johnson, who ran the defense in Philadelphia until his death in 2008.

“As a defense, we understood we passed the ball too much. You know, there’s times we’re sitting over there like, ‘Man, listen. Just get us a couple of first downs so we can get a break.’ And I’m sure it frustrated Jim Johnson also,” Trotter said

Still, Trotter acknowledges that he won a lot of games during his time with Reid, and he says he would have given Reid a 7.5 or 8 on a scale of 1-10. I shudder to think what he’d say about a coach who was a 1.
Good coaches don't get out coached in a lot of games.

Andy Reid is a brilliant offensive mind. As always (it seems) we won because of him but also in spite of him.

In typical Andy Reid fashion, we resorted to "pump the brakes" bullshit on offense when we got to the quick lead. Then prevent bullshit on defense even though both our offense and defense gameplans were working brilliantly up until then.

At the end of the game, I love that we mowed them down with Kareem Hunt. Today, the Reid "hold the lead" strategy worked at the end of the game (not his fault Conley fumbled). But I'm tired of him not going for the throat. With Mahomes moving the ball at will in the second half 2 weeks in a row, I just really hate that for 2 straight weeks Andy cowered like a turtle with the playcalling. It worked today but I'm not excited about doing this in the playoffs.

Don't make my heart feel funny...Todd Haley coaches with his balls on.

It wouldn't be fair for the rest of the league.
I really like Haley even though I don't love the playcalling. But let's not get carried away. Reid's offense is wildly innovative. We dominated Pittsburgh on offense largely because of outstanding playcalling. Love Mahomes as a QB, but don't know how anyone can downplay Reid's role in this.

Because Reid is a fat, soft, pansy and the game should never have been this close.

Not to mention that for whatever great O mind he has, he doesn't publically and authoritatively defend his players against oppressive officiating.

It's a process, and takes tome to work, but he won't ever even start the process.

They were in pretty good control until Conley fumbled. That was a massive play. Thankfully it didn't cost them the game.

I'm not saying Reid is perfect by any means, but in the GDT some of you idiots were calling for his head when the Steelers tied it 21-21, and at that point he hadn't done a damn thing wrong. It should've been 28-0 and we got screwed. He was dialling up PERFECT OFFENSE. The D is a ****ing abortion, sure he should fire Sutton, but that's not an in-game thing to cry about.

Some of yall just cry for the sake of crying, maybe it makes it easier for you to blame coaches than overrated players. Or you just don't understand the NFL. Here are the coaches I would trade Reid for:

BB
Payton - I think? (and he makes a TON of dumbass calls, more than Reid)

I'm REAL high on McVay and Shanahan, but SAMPLE SIZE?

Other than that, you can keep whoever the heck you want, Reid is better. LOL at anyone who says Tomlin. He's a bus driver who has NO control of that team. They do whatever the hell they want. He "wins rings" because he has HOF talents doing the work, we never had that.

That's probably the main thing a lot of you guys don't understand. You expect those kind of results despite our QBs being Smiff and all the worse ones before him. Give Reid a Rodgers, Ben, Wentz etc and we have a ring. Brady? Obviously multiple, get the hell outta here.

Hopefully now we have Mahomes, it's finally time. It's ****ing overdue. We finally have a QB that can go into any team's stadium in the league and kick their ass. And suddenly the coach will be a genius.

Reid is a boss. **** allyall.

He doesn't defend his players. We'll never get a fair shake as long until he decides enough is enough and gets in some official's faces to let them know h'es going to expose their bullshit.

Other coaches do it, and so too do their star players, and they get the calls, non-calls too, we seem to never get.

Right.

Belichick breaks it off in the officials asses. He's all "I'm Bill Belichick and you won't fuck me, you lowly ducking plebe."

Andy Reid is all "I'll bend over and grab my ankles, then buy you overpriced BBQ after you're done..."

And after showing the official the cashed check yesterday, Bill broke the tablet to destroy the evidence.

All joking aside, at least Bill has the balls to do that. He knows stunts like that will get him calls later on. Andy wouldn't dare color outside the lines like that. You know, like force the mtherfuckers to watch the replay(s) of the roughing the passer blown calls.

That's a bridge too far for a Hunt family team...
