People are still talking about Andy being the problem... the defense has been the problem for 5 years now.
They embarrassed themselves last week, particularly at the end, against a team that plays a ball control offense. How the hell do you make Ryan Tannehill look like John Elway? The Chargers have one of the league's better offenses. How are we to be optimistic about this?
You can talk about Andy's gaffe on the 3rd down play all you want, but the defense folding up like a cheap lawn chair after that is why we lost from a 99.96% winning position. You can talk about Mahomes being much better than Rivers, but how much MORE better is he than Tannehill? And he still couldn't overcome the defense last week.
It's well past time to accept that the defense has not improved from last year, and our prospects are grimmer than last year now, with home field advantage out of reach.
So - let's just win a few shootouts and just enjoy it for what it is... another season of Mahomes' prime where we hope it doesn't turn out like Marino's prime. [Reply]
I think the defense has a good performance. I expect a healthy dose of pressure to be put on Rivers. This will lead to an INT or two and maybe a strip sack.
Speaking of healthy, it looks like we might finally get Fisher back on the line.
This feels a lot like the Denver game a few weeks back when everyone was panicking and thought we were gonna get our shit pushed in.
I don't think this one is very competitive.
Chiefs 42
Chargers 17
Chiefs go into the bye and enjoy some rest before hosting the Raiders. [Reply]

You do know that Andy is the HEAD COACH and not just the OC, right? He's responsible for the defense too... [Reply]
Might as well try something, bringing back the grey facemasks did nothing to improve the overall team, especially the Defense! Maybe this helmet would help some friendly native american spirits, lend us a blessing? [Reply]
