Define positive. Asymptomatic? Very mild? Mild? Serious? Fuckers are dead?

I was chatting with a few people at work and we guessed maybe 5% would test positive due to the Triumph outbreak. Right now we're at 1.7%

I'm surprised the number is that low. We'll see what happens with the test of the 200 something tests remaining.

I did a half-marathon (virtual race) a couple of weeks ago, wearing a mask the whole time. In Denver. I'll say this - don't look for a lot of deep passes in the fourth quarter.

St joe has 12 people in ICU because of the virus. That is pretty good and I can't see progress from here on out just to keep moving forward. The new normal though is just going to be 6 feet and masks and plexiglass until there is something we can do about it. I met someone the other day and my arm got 1 inch and then I realized handshaking is going the way of the dodo bird. *Shower thought handshakes are the new Blood Brothers*

Where did you see the ICU number? I know there's 14 hospitalized but haven't seen any ICU numbers.

My son has his first baseball practice today. What a great feeling to have things pretty much back to normal.

I don't know if it's been discussed yet, but what should be the priority in vaccines when they come out?

I presume that health care workers will be #1. That's reasonable.

Then probably other first responders like police and fire.

After that, do you prioritize hot spots? Denser urban cores? Nursing homes and group living places for seniors? Does priority go to people with pre-existing health conditions?

I pondered a simple way of prioritizing based on death rates by age, and the years of life expectancy lost. Given the pattern of the virus, the priority in that system would simply start at the oldest and work its way down by age (other than a possible flip of children over those under 30). Is that reasonable?

What would be your priority list if you were in charge? Assume (random numbers here) that we can vaccinate 10 million people per month so it'll take 30 months to get everyone.

Well, If Im in the UK it'll take a lot less than 30 months but then I need to decide who to help next. If I'm Sinovac in China, Ive got a shitload of months to vaccinate all the Chinese.

Within my own country, Id think you'd go after the most vulnerable. Maybe first line help but they maybe ok with temporary antibody therapies by that time, if we can produce enough.
