Y'all just tired of the CoD franchise? Or is it just better games with the same launch dates (Assassin's Creed Origins, Wolfenstein)
I am a WW2 fan so I was happy to see Cod return to a more reality-based game. But the campaign is just OK so far, and a lot of the animations feel like PS2 era (like guys waving their arms, etc).
The maps in MP are pretty uninspired and not much fun. It talks a long time between matches and no map vote? The leveling up your weapons with the tokens, etc is a bit boring. Too much learning curve.
Maybe I'm just old school, want the simplicity, but I usually play a COD multiplayer for months and months. Not sure I'll stick with this one.
I thought about buying it last week, but held off.
I'm not a huge MP guy; I logged way too many hours than i care to admit on BF3 however (my first MP experience).
Life is a bit busier now, so I don't have the time to dedicate to it as I once did. I picked up COD Ghosts (I think that's what it's called) used a few months back for like $10 and played the campaign. Was decently entertaining but felt short. But for $10, it was just right.
I'm reluctant to drop $60 on a game where I know I might only be playing the SP side of things. But I'm a sucker for WWII era games.
I'd like to hear others opinions on this game as well. [Reply]
I've played the MP a few times now, and I've had a very enjoyable time thus far. The maps seem small, so camping isn't a huge issue as it forces most interaction. Boots on the ground is great - really seals the deal with the more historical aspect of the game. Perks are fun, instant respawn is fun. Overall, it's just been fun. [Reply]
I decided to try it out. Haven't bought one a in a few years. I'm mad at Gamestop for having it in stock that day. It's fairly boring and MP lags quite a bit. It doesn't help that I suck at it. [Reply]
I still play BF1 multiplayer. After hearing that WWII maps were small and dominated by people using SMGs, I'm glad I stayed away. CoD just can't unfuck itself. [Reply]
Your'e not missing a thing. I was all over this when I heard they were going back to WWII. Loved the original COD and United Offensive. Loved all the Modern Warefare games also. The problem with this game is it does seem PS2 ish. They could have done so much more with the graphics and the game play is antiquated/poor AI. When you look at games like SW Battlefront and Battlefield 1 the graphics and textures are incredible. Playing any game that lacks this quality for a new release is a major setback in reward and enjoy ability. [Reply]
