Nzoner's Game Room>Tyreek Hill injury updates.
Hammock Parties 12:52 PM 09-08-2019
Someone just told me Tyreek Hill could be out 6-8 weeks.

This is the same source that told me he would receive 0 games 20 minutes before the national media broke it.

Take it for what it's worth.

EDIT: IT WAS WORTH NOTHING

Here is an explanation from the #Chiefs on WR Tyreek Hill, who was taken to a local hospital. pic.twitter.com/gxcl2nqFu0

Per source, no surgery for Tyreek Hill but he will miss a couple of weeks.

Confirmed, per source, Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill had a posterior SC (sternoclavicular) dislocation which was successfully reduced in the hospital. No surgery required. He will stay overnight.

I’m gonna assume it’s a month to 6 weeks.

This is a rare injury. It’s the same one #Packers WR Jake Kumerow had last year and missed about two months. No timetable on Tyreek Hill yet. https://t.co/Mk2aL7ENGS

Time to become experts on sternal clavicular joint injuries...

Anterior dislocations generally do well. Management is controversial and should be done in conjunction with an orthopedic surgeon. Because posterior dislocations have a high rate of complication, they are a surgical emergency requiring orthopedic consultation and reduction. If there is any evidence of injury to the neurovascular or mediastinal structures, open reduction and internal fixation are indicated emergently. However, most patients do well after treatment of the sternoclavicular joint injury

Our luck with contracts continues. Sound like a half season injury at least

Honestly, it’s all about the post season. 6-7 games? So what.

At least it isn’t a lower body or back injury where we have to worry about him losing his explosiveness.

This one stumps me right now. Not sure how a shoulder injury requires going to a local trauma unit. Awaiting further info/clarity. In almost two decades as a doctor in the NFL, we rarely sent players to the hospital and never for a shoulder issue. https://t.co/AOkjDNINFT

These next few weeks are probably the lighter part of the schedule. I wouldn’t rush him back.

Chiefs’ WR Tyreek Hill will not need surgery on his collarbone injury but “will miss a few weeks”, per a source.
