What I've often wondered about Niang opting out, is whether he was advised to do that (possibly even by the Chiefs) because he was coming off of an injury, and considering we had Fisher and Scwartz. [Reply]

If I'm not mistaken he was OK to play but it was also strongly suggested he take a year off to recover. I'm guessing the Chiefs didn't mind him taking a year off and the unique circumstances of covid allowed niang to get some of this year's salary paid in advance. It was win win.... Until fisher got hurt. [Reply]

Dafuq? Advised?
You don’t think a year of grooming would not have been great - especially around Superbowl time?
