CDC revises its numbers. 6% of deaths due to Covid19. 94% of cases involved 2-3 comorbidities and advanced age. That means there were 9,210 covid deaths. We’re crushing our kids, our economy and people’s livelihoods. ⁦@GovMikeDeWine⁩ is to blame. pic.twitter.com/aBb2XOXdpG

We can't even get jd1020, who, given what he's been spouting in multiple threads, has apparently ingested some powerful meds today, to concede the obvious here in this forum. Do you really think the media's going to pimp something that would destroy the Democrats' chances of winning the election?

The point was if you get the flu you dont go see your mother.
The point is that you don't know if you have it. And there is no vaccine or cure for it if you spread it to somebody else. This isn't complicated.

Thats kind of the point of OP. Its not nearly as deadly as we were led to believe. Id bet its on par with the regular flu in killing people with no underlying conditions.

Something that honestly reflects the non-story that was shared. Anyone who's paid attention knows that there are a bunch of comorbidities which are substantial risk factors for covid severity.

Technically, they did not admit they exaggerated the covid death count. Comorbidities have always been a part of the covid death designation. Comorbidities are common with many causes of death. Especially cancer. Have you ever once heard anyone complain about someone with cancer dying from a comorbidity but the death being designated as a cancer death? No, you haven't. Because this BS is 100% politically motivated.

You really want a good representation of the covid toll, look at US excess deaths. That's the number of deaths over the running yearly average, regardless of cause. As of mid August, that total is currently at over 200,000. If you're a critically thinking human, that is not an easy number to dismiss. The data doesn't lie.

That is true with influenza as well. In another thread I said Covid-19 was 1.5 to 2.5 more deadly than infuenza. I made an error and now I figure it to be about 16 times more fatal than influenza.

That being said, it still not worth locking everything down.

If Covid 19 did not exist you would still have years where deaths exceeded the average and other years where deaths fell behind the average.

Sure. But here's the data for the last 3+ years. Note the yellow average curve, and where 2020 numbers compare to that. Right now we should typically be in a reduction of deaths according to the running average.
What else do you suggest explains the death spike this year that's resulted in 200,000 excess deaths?
