Gordon was the best "failure" player the Royals ever had. He's no George Brett but obv Royals HOF.

I've got mixed feelings about Gordo. The expectations for him were sky high. He was an average major league player. Worse than average on offense, very spotty, streak hitter, had lots of prolonged slumps. Was a terrific defensive outfielder, which really kept him on the team the last couple years. It's hard these days to spend your entire career with one team, so that's an accomplishment. Hope he enjoys his kids and retirement. His homer in game one of the 2015 WS is what'll put him in the Royals HOF.
